I wish those gifs could to some extent get across the brilliance of his acting in that scene. It’s an ostensibly random moment, but the subtle menace is terrifying. You cannot see it in these gifs, but in the second and third one his hand is shaking. It’s spectacular. He’s so good, it’s breathtaking.
