Unpopular opinion: I’m so annoyed…
…by parts of the fandom right now… some things I’ve read the last few days just show me that some of you have no respect for Benedict. At all. Some of you don’t see him as the great artist that he is but as some kind of doll or … whatever, I don’t know.
You should smile more. Cut your hair. Get a twitter. Dye your hair. You have widow peaks. Is that acne on your forehead? How do you dare not to show up on the red carpet? At least the photographers recognized you at all….
I cannot believe that I have to read this crap all over tumblr… not from haters, from so called fans…
It all started with the stupid chin thing, and it gets worse. I’ve read Johnlock comments all over the internet, threatening female co-stars of him or posting innuendo stuff noone outside of Tumblr can understand… you can post this kind of stuff here on Tumblr where everyone gets the joke/innuendo, but you can’t do it everywhere, it’s just terrible and - yes, disrespectful. There are already people who are annoyed by Benedict because of his annoying fans.
I’m very often annoying myself, and obsessive, and sexist, talking about his ass and how hot he is, spamming twitter and so on. But I always respect him. And so should you.
Never forget: He’s a 35 year old man and respectable artist, who will be big in Hollywood very soon - he does not need us.
