What this man does to his hair in the name of great acting deserves in fact more than a BAFTA. He’s a hero.
Seriously, stop complaining about Benedict Cumberbatch’s hair in Parade’s End!
Is this fandom really that shallow? Tiedjen is blonde in the book, his looks are important for the atmosphere of the story, so Benedict HAS to be blonde in Parade’s End. By the way, I think he is the perfect actor for this character, and he looks really impressive in the new footage. Exactly how I imagined this character.
Seriously, I will unfollow anyone who complains about his hair from now on. It’s ridiculous.

The way he ages in Amazing Grace is spectacular. All the other actors in that movie age only through dyed grey highlights and painted wrinkles… but Cumberbatch ages … how could I describe it… he REALLY ages. His eyes get older, his body, his posture, the way he moves, even is voice… it’s like watching him, as a real person, getting older and sicker. It’s electrifying and a bit frightening.
How can someone be this good at acting?

… who happens to play roles. Thank God for that! Therefore he might have to change his hair from time to time. It’s his job to look like how the role demands him to look.
So please, stop asking why he changed his hair to black/blonde/blue or straight, curly, short, whatever - it’s annoying.
